Royal NZ Navy
The Royal New Zealand Navy has a vision ‘to be the best small nation navy in the world’. Part of their strategy to achieve this is to offer quality accommodation to their staff, requiring that most of their existing properties be upgraded. Through the tender process, Henshaw Group was awarded the project (along with one other contractor).![]() | ![]() | ![]() |

Initially, 30 properties were to have complete upgrades to bathrooms and kitchens including new fittings and fixtures; redecoration of bedrooms and living areas including floor coverings and polishing of existing hardwood floors; installation of French Doors and extensive decking, and finally, fencing and landscaping of the exterior. After the first 9 of these 30 properties were completed, Henshaw Group continued as the sole contractor to bring the rest of the project in on time and on budget.
Recently Henshaw Group has entered into an agreement with the Devonport based RNZ Navy to continue as their sole service provider and complete the next 30 properties due to be upgraded. With the required resources and experience at their fingertips, Henshaw Group is ideally suited to the broad nature of the RNZ Navy project, and is able to ensure both high Health and Safety standards and smooth, on budget running of the project.
"Navy and NZ Defence would be more than happy to continue with using Henshaw Group in the near future and would recommend them to anyone looking for a competent and professional contractor."
